As the sixth installment of Teenage Mutant Ninja Techo blazed through the Bourbon Theatre, blaring the electronic beats through the ceiling, HN’s Thomas Yim was there to capture the events, as well as play the musical event himself. Among those that played were up-and-comers Shark Week, DJ Darryl, DJ Advocat in the Rye Room and Mr. Pojo, DarkGrey, Arbiter, Cake Eater and Cocky Cat kept the party going in the Main Room. Check out an original Cake Eater song played that night, captured by Yim, here.

Omaha’s electronic dance party rockers Talking Mountain have just released a new video that was shot by the Love Drunk crew. It’s widely known that Talking Mountain lives for the party, and the new video is nothing short of fulfilling that. “High Five” is their newest track and newest video, and I’m sure there will be plenty of high fives going around on Thursday, November 10, when TM brings their lasers, smoke machines, and groovy, colorful clothing to the Bourbon Theater in Lincoln to play a show with The Pharmacy Spirits and Philly-based poppy-fun rockers Arrah and the Ferns. Check out the video here!

Nebraska music video production teams Love Drunk and Ingrained tried something new, shooting — in their own styles — back-to-back, one-take videos featuring Nebraska’s one-man music factory, The Show is the Rainbow at The Bourbon — complete with spit swapping, semi-nudity and back-alley rapping. See how it worked.
